Our Top 5 Tips to Make Your Corporate Event Stand Out

We’re gearing up for the warmer weather and spring events! It’s one of the busiest times of the year for us, especially with SXSW on its way this March. Speaking of busy season, make sure to get your orders in soon to get first dibs at all the New Loot for your corporate event or brand activation. When planning your event, it’s so important to catch the attention of your guests and immerse them into a unique experience that they’ll want to share! With that being said, we wanted to share a few tips to help make your activation not only stand out, but form a lasting memory in those that attend.

Tip No. 1 – Choose an Awesome Theme

How do you immerse your guests in an unforgettable experience? First, by choosing an awesome theme! The best way to choose a theme is by looking at your branding, the season, and the type of event you’re hosting. A whole event can be tailored around one theme through thoughtful details. When we designed our Fort Worth Grand Opening, we wanted our guests to feel as though they just stepped back in time to a cool seventies western warehouse party. We felt that the furniture and decor was paramount in lending way to this very specific vibe, so we brought in authentic seventies mod furniture (including our Geri Sectional), tons of plants, vintage bars, and lots of western flair including vintage art, neon signage, cowhide rugs and tumbleweeds. We created large scale hand-embroidered wall hangings to add large focal points throughout the space, reminiscent of the ever-popular curved designs of the era. We were careful to counter-balance the seventies mod decor style with rustic elements such as traditional western Equipale furniture, woven jute chairs, vintage galvanized trash bins, and distressed wooden tables as the western cowboy culture of Fort Worth was extremely important to us to honor our new roots. The guests attending were entertained at every turn, all of their senses stimulated to create a long-lasting memory of the evening.

Tip No. 2 – Incorporate Inviting Lounges

Think outside the box when it comes to seating options for guests. Our furniture alone is unique, but when it’s combined to create an eye catching lounge, it creates an impactful moment and draws your guests in. Lounges not only give event spaces a soft place for guests to land, but create a warm, inspirational and inviting space. This in turn creates conversation and emotion, therefore enhancing human connection and a more memorable experience for your attendees. Lucky for you, our team of designers have created a multitude of different lounge packages, ready to rent for your corporate event! This corporate event planned by House of Margot Blair was full of one-of-a-kind lounges that gave guests plenty of room to connect.

Tip No. 3 – Utilize Eye Catching Displays

A big way for your event to stand out is by utilizing eye catching displays — anything that will draw people to your space. With our collection of rentals you can create big moments with beautifully styled bar backs, oversized cabinets to display materials and merchandise, or a grand entrance. Tip No. 4 – Create Photo Moments

It’s very likely that your ideal client is living on Instagram or other social platforms, so creating photo moments at your corporate event is key for brand awareness. It’s practically free marketing when they share your event or activation. You can create photo moments through unique backdrops, beautifully styled furniture, or unique & eye catching wall hangings. Ask yourself, “What’s going to make people want to take photos of my space?” Focus on the design aspect of your event and create aesthetically pleasing moments throughout.

Tip No. 5 – Incorporate Interactive Elements

Lastly, bring on all the interactive elements! Make a cool and inviting space with room to create. We recently offered a DIY smudge stick station at a public event, with the opportunity to add different herbs and crystals to each bundle to customize their effect. We packaged each bundle up in a branded muslin bag with information on how to create an inspirational space to enhance human connection – speaking to our core mission and giving the guests value.

Another fun way to engage your attendees is by offering something personalized that they can hold onto after the event. At our Fort Worth grand opening party, we worked with Daniel of W Durable Goods to provide custom chain-stitching on Loot branded bandanas. The guests loved being able to take home something that was personalized and had sentimental value. The perfect reminder of a fun evening with Loot!

No matter what you decide to offer as an interactive element, our rentals can help set the scene and create an inspirational space to experience the activity.
